02 Mar What does Success Mean to You?
I ask this question in the beginning of the journey with my nutrition coaching clients.
Typically I hear a weight # when I ask this question
Success can truly look different for everyone and mean different things to different people
From personal experience success is NOT found
By a # on the scale
A # in your bank account
A job title
A certain # sq foot house
The car that you drive
The # of parties you attend
While progress should be measurable there are other ways to evaluate progress with your nutrition goals!
You now have more energy to do your job more efficiently
You are more patient in the way you speak to your loved ones
You are able to reframe the positive in situations rather than getting lost in the negative
You speak to yourself more kindly and acknowledge the importance of this
Your sleep is Great
You know how to manage your stress in a healthy way
You have established ways to help you relax that are not in control of you
You understand what foods make you feel great & what works for you
You’re able to honor your hunger and have a flexible approach to your diet
You rock food prep and planning
You don’t have to take unnecessary medication
You are able to feel good in your clothes
The list could go on….!
THIS is what I evaluate with my clients
We have to peel back the layers and elicit emotion to your goals.
Celebrate as we accomplish these milestones & then build upon them.
Because this definition will change! Which is exciting
You don’t need a weight loss goal to have support around your nutrition!
