07 May Progress Is Not Linear
Any successful thing you have done in life did not happen in a straight line, right?
There are setbacks, barriers and challenges during our journey.
It’s not about how many times you stumble, or trip, or fall flat on your face.
Because you WILL.
It’s how quickly you get back up, learn from the failure and move forward.
The all or nothing mentality sees taking a step back, or falling as failure and allowing one turn lead to 5 more.
Consistent healthy habits will lead to progress.
I help my clients find that middle ground between extreme restriction and extreme over indulging to create progress they feel good about and can continue to do!
Making small improvements, week by week, month by month will integrate healthy habits & behaviors to create results that you can maintain.
Scale weight is ONE data point we use to measure progress in my nutrition coaching program.
It is exactly that, a data point. It does not tell the whole story.
This graph is a real example of one of my client’s progress over 3 months. There are ups and downs but the OVERALL trend is downward.
Weight fluctuates based on many variables. That is why I also focus on other measures of progress with my clients.
Photos, improvement in sleep, stress, mood, energy, confidence, performance in workouts, how clothes fit, for example.
Join me on my mission to end the all or nothing mindset & start seeing results you FEEL good about.
