27 Aug Start Saying No So You Can Say Yes
Let’s talk about BOUNDARIES
When You’re Saying NO, You’re Really Saying YES
We’re all overscheduled.
Whether it’s kids’ sports, weddings, baby showers, wedding showers, birthday parties, meetings.
If you are struggling to meet your health goals, I challenge you to sit down and really identify what relationships, events or habits are sabotaging your success?
If you continue to say yes to going out to dinner with the couple that argues the whole time or attending a baby shower for your 3rd cousin you hardly know.
You’re going to start to resent these people and events.
Harboring anger and resentment is limiting you from providing energy, satisfaction and fulfillment in your life.
You are not a good friend because you always show up, you are a good friend because you realize when you need to take care of yourself. So when you do show up you are able to give 100%.
If the WHY behind your goal is powerful enough, then why are you saying yes to relationships, habits and events that are not equating to your goal?
You can eat vegetables all day, but if you are not setting clear boundaries in your life that align with your values and goals, you will remain stuck.
When you’re saying no to the 12th wedding you were invited to this year, you’re really saying yes to time with your family or projects at home that would make you feel SO good to finish. Or to going to yoga that day instead and having a nice dinner at home with your husband.
If your cake, beers or chips are holding you back, it’s time to say NO so you can say a huge YES to showing up for yourself.
Nutrition coaching is not JUST about nutrition. While nutrition is obviously a huge part in health and wellness there are so many other factors in our life we need to manage to create space in our lives and show up as the best version of ourselves.
