ARE YOU PART OF THE “CLEAN YOUR PLATE” CLUB?

“Finish your plate before you can leave the table.”

“You have to eat your (canned slimy spinach) vegetables before you can have dessert.”

Of course you’re never going to want to eat spinach again when this is your introduction to vegetables.

These are food rules just like any others we subscribe to

The way we are taught to eat as children has very real anchoring in our behaviors as adults

Of course there is good intention with wanting to have kids eat their vegetables because we know it’s healthy for them.

But the environment and approach can make a huge difference

Week old wilted greens aren’t going to taste or look good no matter what you do to them

Vegetables CAN be delicious.

You have to learn how to cook and season them properly.

FRESH ingredients are KEY

This doesn’t require a culinary background and this is something I work with my clients to overcome.

Vegetables are a great example of “high volume” foods to bump up the nutrients and volume of food we enjoy at a meal while still including other foods we enjoy

Fill half your plate with COLOR

Lead by example as a parent of what a healthy meal looks like

As humans we are more likely to follow by visual observation/modeling rather than being told what to do

The eating environment NEEDS to be a relaxed, enjoyable space.

Not a state of stress or anxiety.

Are you struggling with this deep rooted anchoring?

Step 1 is being aware of this

Step 2 realize IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT

You are not defined by your past and have a CHOICE to move beyond this

I work with my clients to peel back the layers and understand the deeper rooted reasons of WHY we eat.

Message me to learn more about the process of breaking free from your past anchoring and moving BEYOND. This is how we create results that LAST.
