03 Oct 5 Tips to Move Through Lack of Motivation
Ya know those days you just aren’t feeling it?
You have so many things to do, but you are feeling super unmotivated and having a hard time getting started?
We ALL feel this way at times. This is something I work through personally and help my clients to best navigate in their individual circumstances.
This past week I did a live training in my Facebook Group sharing tips around what has been helpful for me to work through these moments and get back to living my best life, sooner!

5 Tips for working through lack of Motivation
1. Give yourself space to feel how you are feeling
Recognize we all have these moments. You may notice it more around your period starting, or because you are straight up spread too thin and burning the candle at both ends with no rest.
Motivation is a temporary tactic.
It is not a strategy for long term success.
Slow down and take some quiet time. However this looks for you is fine.
I have clients that go to their cars
go out for walk by yourself
go to a store that makes you feel good and walk around
Write it Out
Getting out how you are feeling onto paper is really helpful to process emotions and bring clarity around what you need to do, and what is really not worth your energy.
Talk it Out
Another great way to get out of our head is to express how we are feeling to someone we trust.
2. Be Kind to Yourself
YOU are not this emotion or feeling. Separate yourself from this emotion.
Acknowledge it, be curious, investigate what’s coming up.
3. Do something that is caring for yourself
Depending the time of day, this can look different.
Get a good workout in, go for a walk, stretch or do yoga
Make yourself a nourishing meal
Go to bed, get some rest
Take a shower, get dressed, wear a bright color, put on accessories and clothes that make you FEEL good
4. Talk Yourself Through It
Seriously talk yourself up. Have a conversation with herself.
Affirmations can be super helpful or statements that resonate most with you.
Tell yourself you ARE able to create these changes in your life and already have everything inside of you that you need to succeed.
5. Take Action
Write out the main tasks running through your brain
Choose ONE to start with today
Identify the very FIRST step you need to take to start moving forward
Do that ONE thing
This one small thing will start to build momentum.
Try it, let me know how it goes.
I always love hearing from you!
