08 Jan Sustainable Weight Loss at 50 yo
I love to share what is possible with nutrition and health through other’s stories.
During my recent reflection interview with Denise, she encourages, “If I can do it, you can do it too.”
When Denise and I started working together, she was frustrated that she felt like she was eating clean but her weight kept slowly going up. Her doctors told her this is how it is as you age, and she felt pretty depressed about it.
Thankfully, she didn’t accept that as an answer. Through our work together she has lost over 11# and maintained this through the recent holidays and a very demanding work schedule.
She feels more satisfied than she has trying to lose weight in the past.
She has sustained energy through out the day, and doesn’t feel like she needs to eat everything in sight when she gets home from work while making dinner.
She actually has the energy to want to move more, and has incorporated more regular workouts and walking in her days.
She is confident in what works for her, how to eat out and still enjoy the foods she values.
