5 Ways to Increase Your Energy

This is a common complaint I hear from my nutrition coaching clients.

Energy Zapping Culprits

  1. Diet high in processed carbs and sugars

  2. Over eating, stealing more energy to digest

  3. Under eating, not fueling your body properly for what you’re asking it to do

  4. Insufficient sleep (less than 5-7 hours consistently)

  5. Dependency on caffeine/stimulants

  6. Draining relationships

Tips to Increase Your Energy

  1. Eat foods that are Alive 

If microorganisms can’t thrive on it, what makes you think you can?

2. Get more sleep/rest

When you are tired or stressed your body will crave energy

3. Evaluate the amount the food you are eating

Tracking your nutrition can bring awareness to what your body needs

Hunger cues can be really off if hormones are out of balance

4. Decrease Caffeine

Caffeine isn’t bad, it’s typically the amount consumed that can cause blood sugar and mood swings

5. Get rid of relationships that drain you

Communicate, set boundaries, or end the relationship if necessary
