06 Mar Client Transformation is Way Deeper than Weight Loss
“Hello everyone, I hope you’re well.. we are almost out of winter! YAY!
I might have hibernated a bit more this year, but with the sunshine today, I see spring on the horizon.
This time last year, I was doing great, or so I thought. Walking 7 miles a day, losing weight, just enjoying myself… then BAM! I collapsed on a walk at SPAC. Golf sized brain tumor, 2 brain surgeries, 52 days in Albany Med, home confinement, weight gain from meds, round the clock IV antibiotics. It all took its toll and it, for a lack of a better term, sucked.
I was depressed, and I mean in a dark, dark place.
Jennie to the rescue~
A friend of mine suggested I contact Jennie.
I remember the first conversation with her. I was outside and doing my little walks. I could only go about 2 blocks without having to return home. I sat down in the sun so I could listen to everything she had to say.I remember crying to her and she just said “Wow. You have been through a lot. You’re doing great. We can get you better” Finally, someone acknowledged my fears and the fact that I had truly been through a lot.
With Jennie’s guidance, I learned that I was way under eating, especially for the healing my brain and body needed. I also wasn’t drinking enough water.I was undernourished. She helped me set realistic goals. For example, “Try having breakfast 3 times this week” Now I have breakfast almost every morning.
My favorite “Before your feet hit the floor, drink a glass of water”
I also meal prep more and am better about eating lunch.
I journal now, too.
Since my surgery, I have lost 15lbs, I am back to walking at SPAC, I do my stretches each morning, and I pray, boy do I pray.
I have learned to honor and love my body. It brought me through a terrible medical crisis.
I AM A SURVIVOR
Jennie was, and continues to be a beacon of light and of hope. She truly brought me through a dark time.
Nutrition is so very important to every aspect of our health. This I learned from Jennie. You’ll never find health in a pill or in a drink. You must do the work.
Thank you, Jennie.”Kind regards,
